About me
My family belongs to the community of ethnic Germans who lived in the former Soviet Union. Their experience of discrimination and legal uncertainty shaped my early interest in justice, legal protection and the role law plays in people's lives.
After completing my legal education and passing the Second State Examination in Law at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf in 2002, I chose an international career path. For more than thirteen years, I worked in human rights, governance and rule-of-law programmes for organisations including the United Nations, the OSCE and the European Commission.
Living and working internationally gave me first-hand insight into the challenges faced by cross-border families and individuals navigating unfamiliar legal systems. Born in Latvia and raised in Germany, I later lived and worked across South and East Europe, Asia and North America. These experiences continue to shape my understanding of the international and multicultural realities many of my clients face today.
In 2018, I returned to legal practice in Germany and was admitted to the German Bar. I subsequently focused my practice on inheritance law, an area that combines legal sophistication with the personal realities families encounter during periods of transition and loss.
Today, I assist heirs, expatriates and international families with inheritance matters involving Germany.
My objective is to provide clear legal guidance, practical solutions and effective representation, helping clients navigate complex legal issues with confidence and achieve legal certainty across borders.
I work in German and English, and speak Russian.
